After the relative success of Never Knew Your Name in terms of airplay and top 100 chart placing, does anyone hold out any hope for How Can I Tell You?
Personally, I don't think the stations will pick up on it as much - I just regret that Never Knew was not the first single.......
Mind you, I could never understand why they chose Dust Devil either!
They do pick some strange lead singles these days.....

I did not like never knew our name at all, thought it was a terrible choice....shows I have no idea. I do think misery would have massive radio appeal because its so instant. I love how can i tell you, but just not sure the public will. Also how would they promote it further?? They did all the big tv shows last time round..
When part 2 of the album comes out, Big Time Sister to me would be an obvious..
Dust devil...awful song....prefer the much slated Sorry....

some interesting comments there I like Sorry even though to a lot of fans its like marmite. If they was to release anything from the box set for me its You cant keep a good thing down.

It is still stuck on B list Radio 2 for 30 March
How Can I Tell You was just not a single - it was a solid album track.
There were no other singles really - I quite liked So Alive but the lyrics were a bit cheesy.

the problem is its not on radio 1. simple!!! for madness to be big in the singles charts they need to be on radio 1`s playlist which isnt going to happen. i love the song and IT IS single material I just believe that if you are not on radio 1 playlists you wont get a big hit. NKYN was a great song and even being on radio 2`s A List it bombed in the chart. It is a shame but again the releases that madness do is more or less self funded. if a big label or record company backed them then things could be different.

I think How Can I Tell You is Classic Madness, and like tone1976 has said, the problem is the band are not in the public eye as much as the Teenybopper bands and are not getting on the Main radio stations, therefor less exposure.. still some tune

What they need to chart is 1. A hit film song 2. A collaberation with someone like Robbie Williams or someone. Whatever, we can not complain that they are just going through the motions and recording crap... It is a superb song from a superb album....they are an amazing live band and they are still selling... We should all enjoy that...long may it continue

Has made the A list for Radio 2 from 6 April
That is pretty good - two straight singles that have been A listed

Strange that it has gone from Radio 2 A playlist after 1 week!
It hasn't done badly in the Airplay Chart but did not have the same appeal as Never Knew Your Name so I guess no top 100 showing in the chart.
And did you see the review by the NME? saying saxophones are relics from 1981...I mean the sheer arrogance of that paper - they are so up their own
