Your review of Oui, Oui, Si, Si, Ja, Ja, Da, Da

Thought I would have a go.
1. My girl2...its a good tune, but bit simple and got bored of it after about 5 plays.
2. never knew your name....hated it at first, but a grower. Nice tune, good song, but not a classic
3. La Luna....ditto...its ok
4. How can I tell you....brilliant, an absolute cracker. Pure evolved madness. Good poppy tune, nice words (possibly a bit cliche ish) but up with the best.
5.kitchen floor...its an ok album track, a bit madness by numbers for me...listenable
6.. Misery....should have been lead single...great tune..possibly a bit over produced, but full blast in my car does it for me.
7. Leon...love this record...baggy trousers part2
8. Circus freaks....took me a while, but now a favourite. Its a different production which I am not sure about, but love it..
9. So alive...one of the best on the album...great words, brilliant tune...a possible single?
10. Death of a rude boy......bored...skip
11. Powder blue...initially skipped, but really like this. A heartfelt album track...lovely words, nice tune.
12. Black and blue....when i heard this 3 years ago, it blew me away. Its a great tune, but feels like it has had a car crash.
13.my girl 2...bored of this tine still. But reminds me to ask, 'come back Clive'...no offence to the other producers, but you are part of Madness..
I love the album...well certainly the middle of it. It was never gonna be LONF...but still a good good album.
I think with some of the weaker tracks removed and songs like the amazing 1978 and Big time sister or You cant keep a good thing down on it, it could have blown us all away...but at least we know that there will be more to come from the band, and I for one am excited at that.
I give the album 7 out of 10...its been constant in my car and am not bored of it yet

Guid stuff Jim (and well done and thanks for putting this board together!)

7/10, not far off the mark I gave the new album too...read back a couple of posts to put my '50% Theory' to the test.......it seems to work

Gotta be 10 out of 10 for me.

Only 2 tracks I'm not really sure about, small world and powder blue, but even these are starting to grow on me
