Summer tour 2013

Following their sold out 2012 arena tour, British legends Madness have today confirmed they will be touring a number of classic British events over the summer. The band will take in ten shows ranging from Gosforth Park Racecourse, Sandown Park Racecourse, Newmarket and Northampton County Cricket Ground between June and September.

Madness are renowned for their high energy live shows and their love of British tradition, so what better summer venues to play than some of the UK’s most iconic racecourses. The band have also confirmed that the legendary Madness House Of Fun Weekender will take place in November of 2013.

On the tour the band said: “A day at the races, British summer time, sounds suitably nutty to us!”

Winter 2012 saw the band complete their biggest tour to date, playing arenas all over the country, including two sell out nights at London’s O2 Arena.

2012 also saw Madness perform on the roof of Buckingham Palace for the Queens Jubilee, play to a television audience of millions at the London 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony and release their 10th studio album to much acclaim and top 10 Official Chat placing.

The bands latest single, ‘Never Knew Your Name’ is out now.

June 14th - Chepstow Piercefield Park Racecourse
June 15th - Newark Riverside Park
June 28th - Newcastle Gosforth Park Racecourse
July 6th - Carlisle Racecourse
July 17th - Esher Sandown Park Racecourse
July 19th - Newmarket Racecourse
July 20th - Haydock Haydock Park Racecourse
Sept 23rd - Northampton County Cricket Ground
Nov 22nd-25th - Minehead 'House Of Fun Weekender'

Madness Tickets are on sale from 9am on Friday 18th January.

Isee this summer tour is starting on 14th June..
They might add an Irish date to this, The Marquee in Cork is on in June and July each year.
MADNESS are no strangers to this Festival and have played there 3 times over the past decade, and have Sold Out this 5,000 event on
each ocassion.. And would have no problem filling it again this year..

yes Prende i hope that Madness return to the marquee if so i will plan my anual trip too ireland to coinside with it. I went to the last Marquee gig last time,, as i was staying with my aunt in Mallow cork at the time ,the gig was anounced just after i planned my visit i was well chuffed .
As for the dates already booked i will look forward too returning too Newmarket again and will probably do Newark and Northamton.
