News seems sparse over the Christmas period.
Just for info, never knew your name is on the radio 2 B playlist w/c 26/12/12

Would be great to see them getting into the charts.. Maybe with some decent airplay from the radio stations you never know, as it is quite catchy and radio friendly

I keep hearing the song in a my local big Debenhams store which will hit a lot of people's ears re: Xmas post sales shopping. From my very local existence, it seems to be getting a lot more airplay - although we are not exactly in Olly Murs territory regarding impacts.
Maybe if it was 1981 and if Suggs could fit into his discotheque gear we would have a top 10 on our hands!

This is getting serious - the song has made the top 100 UK airplay chart at number 99 with 413 plays - see this link ukairplaychart.com/uk/rolling_week/This is a real chance for the song to make at least top 75? This is vindication of the choice of single I guess - at least they have given themselves a chance of reigniting the album.

it's fantastic it's getting airplay on radio 2 and local radio stations but would be amazed if it made the slightest dent in the top 200 singles/download chart. Radio2 in general has little impact on the singles chart as 99.9% of the songs making up the charts is bought be teens and pre-teens. Not really Madness's main target audience. I don't see 20,000 30-40+ year olds rushing to download the song when they may have the album already. Still, it's great that new Madness songs are being heard and hopefully it may tempt a few people to buy the album which is no bad thing.

This is great news.. a similar push this week could see us in the Top 40 by the weekend ;D ;D Just goes to show how important Radio Airplay is for bands.. at the end of the day, if people don,t hear a song, they won,t Buy it !!!

The song sems to have disappeared from the top 100 UK airplay chart - still, it must be the most played Madness single for a couple of years....

Still on Radio 2 A list for week commencing 05/01/13-----can only be positive. Shame no physical release or promotion, but I suppose, what would that achieve...they are not the 80's singles band anymore.. I still believe on the back of this, MISERY could have massive all round appeal..such a good feelgood thumping tune in these depressing times--could just (with a push) be huge...tied in with the rumoured multi racecourse tour the band are doing this Summer, things are looking good..
