What should we expect from the tour?

The tour is upon us here in the uk.

As the title goes what should we expect from the tour?

Songs from the new album we have yet to hear live?

What about a cover like 2009 when they threw in Mother & Child reunion?

I'm going to Liverpool.

I want it to be sold out.

The crowd to be right up for it. It's a Friday night so that should help the mood.

I want the band to be on form and into it.

I want to get a few beers in before, during and after.

I'll get down the front to really appreciate the atmosphere.

Want there to be copies of the new album available at a realistic price and fans actually buying them.

Not arsed about the set list. Happy to listen to anything, totally spoilt for choice really. I want the sound people to have done their job properly though.

Would love for Bedders to be special guest - one can dream! Nothing wrong with Bushers but you know what I mean.

And finally I want Sarah, of this fan forum to have a bloody good time and come away from the gig fizzing with love for the band and looking forward to the next one. Liverpool is her first Madness gig, my first one was actually Madstock 1 - that feeling stayed with me for weeks after. You know what I mean? It's hard to put into words but a bit kinda butterfly feeling deep down, I got all their albums out and played them for weeks ignoring every other band I like, cos I really love this band.

Me and the missus heading to Dublin O2 next Wednesday to the 1st Night of the "CHARGE" tour, really looking forward to it..
What to expect
I don,t think it will be sold out, ( 02 holds 14,000)
When they played here in 09, there was between 10 to 12 thousand
at it, Hopefully around the same again, pity it,s midweek though ...
I Know one thing for sure, the Atmosphere will be Electric , and i will
have a lot of aches and pains the morning after the night before

I expect a set list fairly simelar to the i tunes gig but maybe slightly longer .It will be a mixture of new and classic hits with maybe a couple of surprises .In recent christmas tours they have added a couple of old album tracks that have not been heard in a while .

I love it that they seem to have a decent following in Ireland, although not sold out a crowd of 10,000+ is wonderful and not to be sniffed at.

Does the misses get dragged along or are you lucky enough to have a Madness loving lady?

You make reference to the atmosphere being electric, do you still have the energy to get down the front where it can be pretty lively or do you take a more considered approach, a little further back with a drink in hand?

Either way tell us what you thought, I hope you both absolutely love it mate.

I would love it if they played Yesterday's Men again as the one mellow moment in an otherwise upbeat setlist or if Carl can hack it vocally, I would like to hear him sing Michael Caine or Victoria Gardens.

In answering some of your questions, When i was growing up as a teenager , MADNESS were MASSIVE over here with a very large following, and Still attract a big audience when ever they play in Ireland..
The missus isin,t a fanatic like me, but still enjoys Madness all the same!!
Three years ago , i brought herself & the two kids and we were in the teired seating, this time it,s only the two of us , so we,re standing this time
I,ll stay back a bit from the front this time, although i,ve been up at the front on many ocassions at MADNESS Gigs over the years...
