Hey there - that's a bit patronisng to tell people/me to wind this thread up - I was defending myself from the last person who said I don't like Madness, not just going on aimlessly about my opinion.
Obviously I am entitled to that opinion but don't tell people to close the thread because you don't like my opinion or you are finding it boring. You are being a bully
I don't like the tone of your "let's wind this up" now...it is not on.

In my opinion, Nobody has agreed with you on this thread Re: How Can I Tell You being single material ... and in "my opinion" there is only so much can be talked about on this topic. I am not a bully and wasn,t being patronising at all, Nobody told you to close the thread, i just thought we were going round in circles and in my opinion it was getting a little repetitive, thats all. Just because someone does not agree with you, doesn,t mean you have to take offence , this is a Forum for MADNESS Fans to voice their opinions on different topics.. "Take It Or Leave It"  |

lets not get nasty with each other. this is a friendly site. we dont want any ill feeling here.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion which doesnt always bode with others.
I`m not saying one is right over the other one. we are all madness fans and should be entitled to have an open discussion on topics on here in a friendly atmosphere.
I think the best thing for admin to do is close this topic now to avoid anymore bad feeling.
Not only that its almost Christmas the time of goodwill and all that.

I want this site to spark debate...fans to express opinions..we will not always like them or agree....but its good to hear others thoughts.
Please keep it friendly and polite....if you dont agree with a view, express your own opinions and say why you think whatever you think..PLEASE, NEVER GET PERSONAL.
If you are not happy with a post, please private message me and I will look at deleting it, if it has caused offence to you...its easier than getting in to a pointless spat!!
This is a site for madness fans, we are all different and have different opinions..

For what it's worth I think 'How can I tell you' is one of the best tracks on the album, and I would have thought been a favourite for release as a single.
I think it's a great Madness album, and have played it more or less non-stop since it's release.
We all have differing opinions on these things, and should be allowed to express them.
FFS the wife likes Bon Jovi!

Sorry _ I thought I would link back to this original thread as the song is being released on 7 April
It is interesting to note that Never Knew was originally earmarked as the first single! Silly boys - I am sure it would have done better chart wise.
As for How Can I Tell you - good that they have shortened the intro. However, it is still no physical release and the song just sounds to me like a good album track. I can't see the singleness of it if you excuse my English!
In fact, I struggle to see a third single on here. I think Chart wise, How Can I Tell You will not fare well after the return to form that was Never Knew.

gumption I think you do have some valid points I love the song I also think Misery was a stronger choice of single but I was hoping madness would`ve have gone with you cant keep a good thing down from the forthcoming box set but as I dont think that is going on general release I cant see that happen on a positive if they have shortened the intro then its an alternative version to add to my collection so i`m not complaining.
