New forum for fans

I have been a Madness fan since 1980, Baggy Trousers.
Have followed the band passionately since then.
My dream is to one day meet the band....would love to dance to Night boat at the end of a gig

The old Madness forum seems to have died.
I have therefore started this one.....a place for fans to discuss anything Madness related.
I hope you enjoy and support it.
It will take a while to get going, so please do paste your thoughts, news and anything madness...

If you remember the old madness forum site? That is exactly what i would like to achieve here..

I'm also a passionate fan of the band. Oddly Baggy Trousers was my first single. Bought at WH Smiths in Macclesfield. Picture bag with green, paper centre!

Thanks Simon. I just missed the old forum. I am not a computer buff and just hope the site will generate some discussion amongst fans. It will take a while to get going..but it needs just a few to spark interest and debate etc..
Rob Hasleby has kindly agreed to promote it through the brilliant weekly MIS. I am hoping that will kick start this forum!!
I got baggy trousers picture sleeve and it was played to death...it was such a cool cover. Think it was 49p so really a lot of money compared to now.....happy days

It's nice to read what other people think of Madness. I'm a fan since 1979. Especially the first few albums are abosolutely marvellous. One of my favourites is "Return of the los palmas 7". Last october seen them in Amsterdam and is was again a great concert. Hope they wil return to The Netherlands very soon. Kind regards.

Mr Lavery I presume? May I also add my thanks to those already given for setting this place up - a decent Madness forum has been long overdue - sure there are various Facebook groups etc but nothing quite fills the need for a good discussion like a decent forum!!

Good luck with it and if it has the success of some of it's predecessors (SmashForum and Nutty Forum amongst them) then it'll have been a good job done.

First week is going really well with 25 members and some great posts.
If you have an idea for any other topic boards, please shout....I want this to be a site for fans to really enjoy.
I do need your input and posts to generate the interest.
Any complaints/problems, i will do my v best to rectify them..

Well done Jim on setting the forum up. As Graham said a good Madness forum has been long overdue facebook etc is good but it's not the same as a proper forum. I look forward too reading and making posts on a regular basis. I was a reguler visitor too Smashforum, nutty forum and madness central and i wish this forum every success . Well done again Jim and thanks.

Stupid pride and idoit shame, dirty looks, feeling kinda black and blue, from good to bad, habitual liars, feels like running out and ownin all the world, death of a rudeboy, no time for living hells, the drama queens rejoice again, look at the debris of what we have become, why should anybody care, shift infintessimally, faint wafts of nostalgia, heads above the rest, helpless crowd willing us on, sick of marching to the beat of others drumming, you packed your bags your leaving, into the powder blue. Hii all.
After only about ten days we have already got 53 members..
Superb start...and there are ideas to improve the site to cover all things Madness..
It can only work with your support....thank you so much.
If you see anything relating to the band, get it posted.
If we need new headings, etc...tell me and I will do my best to improve the site.

Hi all.
Just another update.
I sent an email to Madness management re the forum.
Today, i got a reply from Jamie at madness management saying they would put a link on the website (may take a while) and that they had created an account and would post any news they had when its appropriate.
I am determined that this forum will be a place that fans love, enjoy and find useful and informative.
Its now a case of looking out for any news..
Thank you to the madness management and thank you to all who are using this site..(i hope you are njoying).
