Channel 5's Ben Frow has reportedly spoken of his desire to revive classic shows on the channel. Director of programmes Frow cited the channel's karaoke series Night Fever - which originally ran from 1997 to 2002 - as a format he would like to revamp. © Rex Features / FremantleMedia Ltd "[There's] no point trying to do yet another talent show but karaoke... perhaps it's time to bring it back," ThisIsVERiFiED.com quotes him as saying. Night Fever was originally hosted by Madness frontman Suggs, and later co-hosted by Will Mellor and Sarah Cawood. Frow also admitted that he would be keen to bring back short-lived BBC One soap Eldorado, which ended after just one year. "It would play nicely with our two current 'sunny' soaps, Neighbours and Home & Away," he claimed. Frow recently vowed to avoid "downmarket" programming on Channel 5 in future, insisting that he would never have commissioned Channel 4's recent Bodyshock documentary The Man with the 10-Stone Testicles. Nothing weird about him standing in for Captain Birdseye, just helping pay the bills I suppose, but that Night Fever, I know that was probably to pay the bills too, but that was just c**p. Pity that thing he did 10 or 11 years ago couldn't be brought back, the pop quiz thing, I think it was A Question Of Pop or something like that, did it as a team captain with Noddy Holder as the other team captain as I seem to remember.
