NME 07/8/13 Madness are to re-release the 1981 cult film 'Take It Or Leave It' thirty two years after its original release - scroll down to the bottom of the page now to watch the trailer. Directed and produced by Dave Robinson, the head of Madness' original label Stiff Records, the film will be repackaged as a DVD and audio CD of the soundtrack, which has never been officially released. It will be available from October 7. Set in Camden Town, the film depicts the group's rise from their beginnings as a pub band to their first bits of fame and the highs and lows that marked that journey. It also gives a glimpse at the workings of the music industry of the 1980s from the perspective of a new band. The soundtrack features singles, b-sides and album tracks from Madness' early days, including 'Baggy Trousers' and 'One Step Beyond'. Two tracks from Fats Domino and The Four Tops also feature in the movie. It was recently announced that the band would play their biggest show of the year at London's Alexandra Palace on September 28. Their now-traditional House Of Fun weekender is also set to go ahead on November 22-25. Earlier this year, Madness released a special edition of their tenth studio album 'Oui, Oui, Si, Si, Ja, Ja, Da, Da'. Jimbo

Interesting that it is being released with a CD, including apparently a couple of non-Madness songs. I wonder if Mark had anything to do with the redesign of the packaging? By the way, the link to the trailer, I can't seem to find it
