:)I went to school with Chrissy Boy.Went round his house a few times near Gospel Oak and the Chippie.
He left school in 1972 asked not to come back actually if I recall. I nearly joined him having been banned from chemistry by Johnnie Langford the teacher. For sticking a spatula up a guy called Ray Douieb a**e.
Chris got a job with a gardening firm for about two years. Then worked for the glorious London Borough of Camden as a gardener. He used to wear a donkey jackets with LBC on the back and if people asked what it meant he said London Brick Company [or the more fruity London’s Biggest C**t] .
We lost touch and I saw him once in a pub of Prince of Wales Road.It was a single storey place well known so well known I cant remember what it was called.Must be gone now.
I was working for LBC as well but then didn’t see Chris or anyone from school for years.
I brought the early Madness records listened to their music blissfully unaware that Chris was one of the boys.About 10 years later bumped into one of the boys from school in the street.
We chatted and I asked him if he saw anyone or heard from anyone. He said no hadn’t heard anyone had pegged it and hadn’t Chris Foreman done well.I said what do you mean he was a prick like me.
He said he’s part of MADNESS you knob head.
So off I trots off home and gets out me One Step Beyond LP and looks at the cover the boys in a classic stance. And buggy me with a barge pole there is old Chrissy boy.
So the morale is reading forums can lead you anyway.Jaytex, staypress, baggie bens,DMs crombies those were the days………………..
“London, London, London town,You can toughen up or get thrown around.”
